Program Note

Refraction was written for Joseph Alessi and the Columbus State University Schwob School of Music Wind Ensemble to offer a change of pace on an upcoming recording project (Visions - Summit Recordings). The work is intended to be like a dream. Try experiencing this work with your eyes closed.  It has been performed by several top wind bands around the world  including the U.S. Army Band (Pershing's Own)  in Washington, DC under a beautiful night sky!
